The best way to learn about BBQ, slow-smoking, or how to
get started in competitive cooking is to join a mailing list. There are several BBQ
mailing lists to choose from and at least one of them is bound to meet your needs. BBQ
aficionados can argue endlessly about what constitutes REAL 'Q and who works
the hardest to prepare it.

Thead's BBQ List |
The original BBQ
mailing list, owned by Rick Thead, is no longer active. |

The
Smoke Ring BBQ List |
This
list was started after the demise of the original BBQ mailing list
to fulfill the need for a general BBQ discussion list. It is open
for discussion of all BBQ related topics, including cooking with
alternative fuels. It is sponsored by The
Smoke Ring website. The list members have created their own
official list website The BBQ
Porch with an exhaustive BBQ FAQ. |

Or, if you want to see what some of the characters who
subscribe to these lists look like, visit the BBQ
Mailing List Rogue's Gallery. But please don't let that scare you off.
