The first New England contest event for
the new Millennium, The 7th Annual Snowshoe Grilling challenge was
held on 2/26/00 at the Concord Junction Brewery in Concord, MA. I
didn't do as well as last year when I won Grand Champion, but I
did manage to win Reserve Grand Champion.
The first ever Spring Fling was
hosted by the historic Fitzwilliam Inn on 4/29. It was a beautiful
spring day, and thanks to my two assistants Greg Hunter and Nancy
Gells, we managed to place Second in Chicken and Sausage.
The weather was beautiful on
Cape Cod as 13 teams turned out for the Fifth Annual Peters Pond Rib
and Brisket Fest. We finished 1st in Chicken, 2nd in ribs and 3rd
overall.
